De hulp bestaat uit het bieden van verzorging bij de dagelijkse handelingen, verpleging en – in terminale situaties – stervensbegeleiding. Een verzorgende kan u ondersteunen bij uw lichamelijke verzorging, maar ook bij het toedienen of klaarzetten van medicijnen.
